Creative Writing- Horror Camping Trip

Horror Camping Trip...

You and your three closest friends decide to go camping. You arrive and set up camp nearly three miles away from where you left your car. Late that evening, as you sit around the campfire roasting marshmallows, one of your friends reveals a deep dark secret that turns what was to be a fun weekend into one of the scariest weekends of your life.

My head drooped. My palm of my hand learned of the reflecting glass. As I fell to sleep.  I opened my eyes to awaken to an abandoned campsite from what it seemed like a couple of centuries. I was afraid it was within the gates the rigid gates. I still had my backpack on my back from earlier on when it was sitting next to me. but for some reason, it felt like there was like anything was contained inside, as I started to believe that this wasn't real. I tried to slap myself awake from this but, I felt the pain like it was real. I tried not to panic. Was I dropped off here? Where are the others? As I knelt down onto my knees. tugging my hair. As my heart jumped fast and faster. Like something was fast approaching me, as I cold hand touched my shoulder, as I slowly turned my head shaking. "Ah-" Another cold hand was over my mouth. "It's ok to calm down," As the cold figure released his hands from over my mouth. "Don't scream, you'll grab the other unwanted attention. He'll kill you."

"No one has seen its face. But everyone knows of its skinny sleek appearance with its long huge monster-clawed talons. Its skin melted like candle wax, with the stench of the rotting dead. Its soulless sockets only lightened up when a flashlight reflected his glowing bright green stare when a flashlight faces it. His face curtained in a black vail"

English - Mix and Match Poetry Terms & Definitions

In English, we are working off a slide show and matching and finding definitions of 9 or so words here are the takes below some a couple of them are partially completed and the last one isn't yet.  Note some of these Task's answers may not be correct so be aware.

Figurative Language = 3		1. Comparing two unlike things using the words like or as
Literal Language = 6		2. An exaggeration of the facts.
Simile = 1		3. Saying one thing and meaning something else.
Metaphor =5		4. Writing with detail to arouse one or more of the 5 senses.
Personification = 2		5. A phrase is common to people who speak the same language- saying one thing but meaning another.
Imagery = 4		6. Meaning exactly what you say.
Idiom = 8		7. Comparing two unlike things not using the words like or as.
Hyperbole = 7		8. Repetition of consonant sounds in a piece of writing.
Alliteration = 9		9. Giving human qualities to non-human things.

Alliteration

Alliteration is when a consonant sound is repeated over and over.

E.g The time ticked tediously by. The warm wind wafted across the window.

Highlight the alliterations in each of the following sentences:

Personification

Personification is when you give qualities to non-human things

E.g The house watched me closely. The trees reached out to me.
