In Art, we were given the take to identify certain bits of art from the portfolio below that could be considered to be in their own separate groups, such as a series or a separate piece. As to answer how does what you see as a whole relates within the folio.
In art, we are using photoshop to edit the photos we had taken the past week. I was working alongside summer suggesting some places and things that would be suitable to take a photo of we had taken many photos in the span of an hour. We couldn't use all but to chose between 3 or 4 (the minimum). And try to replicate the feeling and style that the artist (Rinko Kawauchi) has shown and portrayed in her photos/photography style.
I based the editing style of these photos from her work: The river embraced me (2016) - Rinko Kawauchi
It's not the same as hers I would have liked them. (Good Enough). In these photos I tried to give the feel of everything slowly fading, and tried to give a warm feel, of past things of memories of sorts looking into the sun too long can mess up your sight a bit. I tried to make use of yellowish pinks, reds, and whites to give off a warm feel also.
In English, we are working on definitions and explaining the film aspects and how they affect the film. These are the first two of them of the chosen four I have done so far. the four I have chosen are POV- Point of view, Colour of film, OTS - Over the shoulder, and Tone in film. I am not sure If I had answered these accurately as I could but good enough.

Describe the artwork:
Gives the feeling of lost empty, deserted, it gives a feeling of confusion dullness loneliness, as the girl is heading towards the unknown light off into the distance. This piece can also give an eerie feel as the girl is shown to be alone. As the unknown figure can be seen in a shadow in the distance hidden behind the building it really gives you to feel to find out who the exact figure. As it's described in the name a 'mystery'. It is a real mystery to find out how it's really meant to be interpreted as personally.
Subversion through recolonizing
Notes on video;
Unity in diversity shines throughout Sofia's work, myths legends, etc she gets from her Maori culture and links them to other cultures, and combines them together in her pieces. Some of her works are named after Maori goddesses. She wants them to be seen as more of their ancestors.
Piece of her work: Twelve Heavens
Brief description: This painting used the effect of replicating the same image around in
a circle, it really gives a slight feel of the gate that isn't human but a
reflection of time going by. The white complements the black greatly and in the pattern, it kind of gives the feel of it warping out of the white canvas. It also gives the feel of a clock or an animation reel.
Does it show Subversion and so
Subversion is shown in the many repetitions of the same person in the circle making it stand out and out of the ordinary. as it put standing out of the page in the ring. as it gives the feel of it being a focal point opening up.
Today in class I watched a video about a burning forest burning for 60 seconds. In this video was posted in 2018 the location not shown that I know was marveled by the flames. I watched this video due to recently answering a quiz jokingly, as one of the places you want to go to. Burning forest. Even though burning foresty is not a good thing, the colour in this scene is a beautiful colour with yellow, orange, pink, and the blueish purple. How it changed over time was unexpected to these colours their vibrant nature when night came around it really showed. This screenshot is taken 46 seconds in. This is the link. Subversion as a compositional framework
Each individual thing is either relating to one each other or confronting/battling the other than many squares surrounding the word 'gossip' small fish, triangles, and korus are used in many different ways. The colours used are different tones of red and orange and hints of white and black in the mix. the first thing I look at is the swirls clashing with one and another. the objects that are used seem to be random a mixture of three things, fish, triangles, korus and swirls. To me, this artwork gives a feeling a very different feel with the word gossip as some of the many squares could relate to that as the way they are being presented. like chatter, separating as in linking to how the fish are presented by. as for the many swirls in the bottom left corner represent the presence of gossip in a way. and the many triangles could represent the sharpness of the chatter.
