Where are the different groups of the periodic table
Where are they on the periodic table?
- What are the transition metals?
=A set of metallic elements occupying a central block. iron, manganese, chromium, and copper. (Groups IVB- VIII, IB, or 4-12)
- What are alkali metals?
= any of the elements lithium, sodium, potassium, rubidium, cesium, and francium. Group IA(1)
- What are the noble gases?
= any of the gaseous elements helium, neon, argon, krypton,  xenon, and radon. Group 0 (18)

= Francium is the rarest element of earth.
