Crash Course in Critical Literacy

For English, Our class has Watched a Video and we are answering the question down below

What aspects of stories was she (Andrea) interested in?
Don't take things at face value look for the hidden messages what you see is not always what you get.

What did the ad imply with the big diamond ring?
If you buy your partner a big diamond that means you love them and if you don't you don't love them

What Subtext? It is the hidden message

With CL, can each student have their answer? They all have different answers

What does Andrea compare CL to?
She compared it to the girl, like dressing is more important than Maths.

How can CL be applied to your life outside school? You might end up doing something dumb if you buy that thing that will make you look good, but sometimes it is not what it seems.

What am I leaning?
I am learning about how to point out things and look more into the ad and point out the hidden things.

How does this work show my learning?
I gave me a message that doesn't believe the ad like food, for example, it looks good but reality it looks totally different sometimes.

What am I wondering?
I am wondering over all this time I have not noticed the secret things in add and the truth I just believed it the first time I saw it.
